'So, this is the place...' - I said.
'Yep, all it needs to be refreshed and this big wardrobe needs to be taken out' - he answered.
'Hmmm... I think it needs
much more to be done in here... So when do we start?...'
We've been working on the apartment since October this year. It took us about 4 weeks to make all the changes I've planned. Designing of the place was taking few days.
Hours spent in the shops, browsing the internet, waiting for inspiration to come. I was looking for furniture and decorations, but at the same time I
didn't want the place to look very common...
First -
the walls, that orange and yellow color droves us both nuts. 'Ecru paint in the living room and violet in bedroom should be great' - I thought - 'Plus artexing here and there'. My idea was to use ecru, brown, white and green in the living room. Ecru and brown - the colors of the earth - go well with green, blue, red and many other colors. That gave me the way out in case I would change my mind about green. The big wardrobe was taken out. Anyway it took half of the room and a lot of daylight. I found long tv stand and chest draw in kind of old style, what matches antic mirror in the hall. Settee and armchairs were cover with blankets. I've put many pillows on the top - all different, to break the border. Ceramic pots, statuettes, candle holders and frames were chosen very carefully. Most of them we got in my favorite art decoration store - very choosy one. Spent lot of money in this store, but it's worth it.
The bedroom. I knew what color will be dominated. The
violet. Bed cover, bedding, curtains I found without any problems. Most of the time took us sticking the border above the bed. But anyway I think result is great.
The biggest fun was looking how the apartment is changing day by day. I think we did a very good job. Anyway, the truth is this place looks totally different now. One of our friends said it looks very British now...
Hmmmm... And what do you think about it?
